Cloeren Incorporated of Orange is planning an investment of $5.55 million and is asking the Orange City Council to nominate it as an Enterprise Zone to the office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism.

The Enterprise Zone designation qualifies the company to seek state economic development incentives. The application says the investment shows a commitment to keeping 209 jobs.

The Orange City Council will vote on the Cloeren Incorporated nomination during its next meeting. The meeting will be at 9 a.m. The city is still having only 10 members of the council and staff at the council chambers. Part of the council, along with other staff members, and the public will participate or listen through a phone.
